In a society that revels in individualism, Generations United prefers to pursue what it believes to be a higher road. We want instead to promote neighborliness, convinced that individual happiness is inseparably tied to the well-being of others. Therefore, we bring people together to co-labor for the sake of the community.

For many families in Redwood City, the costs associated with returning back to school can be burdensome, and some children are not able to come to class with everything they need. Generations United seeks yearly to solicit the help of many local businesses and church-groups to provide over a thousand backpacks for children in 10 RWC schools.
This year, we continued our partnership with Gunderson-Dettmer and local churches and organizations including Peninsula Covenant Church and Peninsula Community Center. Thank you!

Our annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner was a huge success! Students, families, volunteers, community partners, and donors all came together for a Thanksgiving meal to give thanks for all the good at Generations United. We had so much help from set-up and tear-down to donated food and drinks. Thank you to everyone who helped! Click here for a recap and video highlight!

We identify families in need in the community and provide an opportunity for their gifts wish list to be sponsored by loving and generous donors. Families can come and wrap gifts to bring home to their celebrations. We also provide holiday meals and welcome gift cards to Safeway, Target, and more. Join us for this year's event on Dec 13 & 14.
